The point in mentioning this is to use the normal check-in where you can speak to a live human and ensure that your room preference is provided. It was a brief stay for us and staff offered to put us in another room, but as it was a relatively brief stay we decided to stay in the room and put up with the hallway smell. The room was not smelly, but the hallway was. not this time, as we ended up in a smoking room on a smoking floor. Basically you complete all the normal check-in stuff online, and scan a barcode at a kiosk and out pops your keys. There was one new option for check-in since we last stayed at the Encore, and that was express check-in. This trip was no exception (one caveat, upcoming), where the room was nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
We've stayed at the Wynn property (both the Wynn and Encore towers) for several years now, and always enjoy the rooms and amenities.
